After three years of anticipation, Crazy Lixx is back with “Thrill Of The Bite“, and let’s be honest, this is exactly what fans of the band (and the genre) were hoping for. The Swedish hard rockers stick to their signature formula: big hooks, explosive solos, and an unrelenting rock ‘n’ roll attitude. If you love their past work, you’ll love this one too.
From the very start, “Highway Hurricane” kicks in as the ultimate road anthem, followed by “Who Said Rock N’ Roll Is Dead,” a fist-pumping declaration that the genre is still very much alive. And that’s the vibe of the entire album, pure, unfiltered, high-energy rock. Tracks like “Little Miss Dangerous” and “Call Of The Wild” keep up the momentum, blending that sleazy 80s attitude with modern production and just the right amount of polish.
There are no surprises here, but that’s not a bad thing. “Thrill Of The Bite” is Crazy Lixx doing what they do best, delivering anthems tailor-made for fans of Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, and Skid Row. If you’re looking for reinvention, this isn’t the album for you. But if you just want straight-up, feel-good, electrifying rock, Crazy Lixx delivers, again.
Brash, loud, and packed with attitude, “Thrill Of The Bite” is a must-listen for any die-hard glam metal fan. Crazy Lixx doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but they sure know how to keep it spinning.
